To celebrate the launch of Burberry’s Monogram puffer collection, Dazed partnered with the iconic British brand to celebrate young pioneers breaking boundaries across the globe. We asked four creatives to create a piece of work which responds to the ideas of boundlessness, weightlessness and freedom.

Jumping off from the concepts of weightlessness and freedom, for his work, Satterwhite returned to memory, which he thinks about as “a weightless medium to store time.” “Compositing a collection of family photos into a virtual reality den and filtering out the negative space of their bodies with a more appeasing digital decoration felt like an appropriate depiction of memory as a weightless coping mechanism,” Satterwhite says.

James Massiah’s digital poetry zine recalls times the poet has felt free. “I’m a determinist, so I have some interesting perspectives on the notion of freedom,” Massiah says. “I write a lot about freedom from moral or ethical constraints through nihilism and about the freedom to decide what you want for yourself within the constraints offered by your reality through egoism.”

The Venturini sisters returned to their past with a film made in collaboration with Milanese collective NOTEXT scored by producer, DJ and PAN label-founder Bill Kouligas featuring identical twins Jemma and Julia hiding out in a puffer kingdom made for queens. “The feeling we would like for people to have when they watch the piece is freedom with no boundaries,” say the twins.
